Kentucky is expanding workforce capacity by allocating PHIG funds directly to local health departments and partnering with the Kentucky Health Departments Association on tuition assistance programs.
The Louisville Metro Dept. of Public Health used PHIG to collect, track, and act on data related to workforce needs, preferences & satisfaction. As a result, the department hit a retention rate of over 85%.
