ResourcesSession Summary
This session highlights how Tennessee, Kansas, and Maryland are using Public Health Infrastructure Grant (PHIG) funding to strengthen local public health systems through strategic investment, technical assistance and engagement, and streamlined support. Tennessee’s County Health Councils drive locally led planning and action, supported by TDH’s integrated funding and technical assistance model. Kansas enhanced foundational capabilities by launching a centralized TA approach, improving grant navigation and communication with rural health departments.
