In this presentation, learn how one state health department worked with its Chronic Disease and Injury Section to improve a slow and confusing hiring process. The team focused on three key areas: writing clearer job descriptions, scheduling interviews in advance, and using consistent interview questions. These changes were tested with hiring managers and tracked to see how they impacted the process. You’ll also learn how staff and stakeholders were involved along the way, what lessons were learned, and what’s planned for expanding these improvements across the agency.
