  • American Samoa Builds Workforce Advisory Board with PHIG Assistance

    The American Samoa Department of Health is drafting its Workforce Development Plan. Through PHIG technical assistance, ASTHO’s Islands Team met in person with the American Samoa team in September 2024 to discuss the plan and process of developing a Workforce Advisory Board and nominating members to the board to finalize and approve the plan. The American Samoa team has obtained strong leadership buy-in, and the Director has appointed internal and external partners to the Workforce Advisory Board.
