This event is ONLY for Region 9 PHIG recipient health department staff. Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges. This training will cover topics such as the common signs and symptoms of mental illness and substance use disorders, how to interact with people in crisis and connect the person with help, and The “ALGEE” action plan.
Training is provided by the Cypress Resilience Project exclusively for Region 9 PHIG recipient health department staff (fees covered by the Region 9 Innovation Hub). Spots are limited to 30 participants per session.
This is a full-day virtual training. The PHI Center for Health Leadership and Impact will also offer this training over 2 half days in October.
