Data in Practice: Planning, Improving, and Evaluating Public Health Efforts

This session focuses on using data to guide public health planning and quality improvement. Participants will explore how assessments inform larger strategies like Community Health Improvement Plans. We will learn about how to develop logic models and solid performance measures. You’ll also learn when and how to launch a QI project, with examples from the field. Through interactive exercises, participants will work through real or fictional challenges, identifying useful data sources, working through programmatic decisions, and choosing appropriate improvement or evaluation paths.
