About the Event

Public Health Infrastructure Grant (PHIG) recipients have expressed a strong desire to learn from their peers’ successes to inform their own strategies towards improving public health infrastructure. To meet this need, the PHIG National Evaluation Team (NET) has launched the Promising Practices Initiative: a way to showcase practices that PHIG recipients have implemented successfully so that public health professionals across the country can adapt evidence-based approaches to their work.

In this webinar, Elizabeth Gould, DrPH, Senior Evaluation Specialist, will walk through the Promising Practices process, from how practices are identified and assessed to how they are selected and shared. Dr. Gould will be presenting alongside Olivia Ault, MPH, Indiana Department of Health, and Dr. Kerry Pride, DVM, MPH, CVA, CVMMP, DACVPM, Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services, to showcase their Promising Practices. Participants will gain insight into the criteria used to highlight promising approaches and how health departments can submit their own practices for consideration. Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of how the initiative works and how they can submit their practices to help accelerate learning and strengthen public health infrastructure nationwide.
