March 14 @ 1:00 PM EDT - 2:00 PM EDT

  • This event has passed.

Quality Improvement (QI) in public health refers to continuous and ongoing efforts to achieve measurable improvements in efficacy, performance, accountability, outcomes, and other indicators of quality within services or processes designed to achieve equity and improve health. The National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) will host an in-depth session on its QI Roadmap, which assists local health departments (LHDs) with identifying tangible strategies and resources for building a culture of QI. Session participants will be introduced to the foundational elements of creating a culture of QI and the six phases of a culture of quality. This session will show LHDs how they can assess their current culture to determine which phase they are currently in, and explore strategies LHDs can use to build each foundational element and transition to the next phase.
