SUMMARY:Community Health Assessment Reframing Series (Session 1 of 2)
DESCRIPTION:Louisiana Public Health Institute (LPHI)\, in partnership with Dr. Flint Mitchell of FDM Consulting\, LLC\, and Robert Hines of RAHJ\, presents a two-part webinar series for professionals working on Community Health Assessments (CHAs). The series explores how to make CHAs more community-centered\, engaging\, and impactful. Follow-up coaching calls will be offered after the two sessions\, with more information to come. \nSession 1: A Community Health Assessment Is More Than a Report explores how to design CHAs as systematic\, dynamic\, and community-available processes\, rather than reports that end up on a shelf. Participants will identify common weaknesses and missed opportunities through the interactive “The Bad CHA” activity. \nSession 2: The Community Health Assessment Belongs to the Community\, Not the Health Department focuses on community engagement as a core part of the CHA process\, with practical approaches for making engagement genuine\, meaningful\, representative\, and actionable. Participants will explore tools including power analysis\, engagement design\, feedback loops\, and community interpretation of data.
